Got news today that my local library is going to host a local author book signing in the Spring. There are details still to come, as it takes months to plan for such an event, but the fact that I am on the list for authors to be part of the event is very exciting. Stressful, but exciting. Now I have to figure out what my table should be like. I mean, I have time, but it’s a good idea to keep in the back of my mind. Plus, if I am able to sell my book at ComicCon, then I have a plan for that table as well.
Things feel as though they are starting to fall into place. I have a conference call on Wednesday with my marketing team to talk about metadata optimization (there are those 2 words again) for Amazon, which means that I am going to make sure that I get the most out of my listing for one of the largest book retailers in the world. I’m not real sure if this is for my eBook (which I think that it is), or if it is for my POD book. I think that it has to do with the listing in general. Just making sure that I have all the keywords that I need to make sure that my book shows up in some of the top book searches on the site. Of course, they’d have to search for paranormal romance, or steamy romance, but romance novels are a very popular and I think that I have hit a niche that will do well. Still, having the optimal keywords and pings on search engines aren’t going to hurt. At least, that is what I think metadata optimization means. I had to look it up.
